The students need to start cardiopulmonary resuscitation, they work together in pair. They put an neck collar on the patient to stabilize the neck to avoid further damage. They took of the wet clothes and put som towels over the patient to keep him warm to the ambulance arrive. There mission was to do life support arrangements until the ambulance arrived. The students did a great job, and they like to do practical training.
when the student do cardiac compressions how hard will they push? Have the students allready learn that?
ReplyDeleteHi Henrik
ReplyDeleteThe student has in the beginning of their education learned cardiac compressions and they learned the technique on special dolls. You now that you push correctly when you hear a clicking sound. But this is something that you have to practice a lot to do right
It´s a few years since I did the first aid course. How many times is the accurate rate now? Could you give a quick review please?

ReplyDeleteTwo insufflation and 15 compressions. In Sweden they have gone out and said that the most important thing is that you do compressions, it has been shown that many people are afraid to do the insufflations
its 30 compressions and nothing else, i can't remove it.
DeleteI wonder IF the Word insufflation is the correct term? Iam not sure.
ReplyDeleteHello, I am not educated in this for years, but have been to a quick course once or twice. Very important things that I wish I was more up to date with. Is it correct that the pace of the 15 compressions is the same as the song from the 80:s: "Born to be alive" or is that just a myth? (And the amount 15 the same as the refrain once)...
ReplyDeleteHaha Malin
DeleteI dont have à clue. It s possible 😃

ReplyDeletePutting on a cervical collar is not easy and usually done by people who have a pre-hospital emergency healthcare education. Do they have that education on that school?
ReplyDeleteI Know that this is à moment in à course called akutsjukvård/ emergency healthcare and i was told that the students trained on that moment earlier in this semester.
DeleteI dont think "my" they train in putting on a cervical collor. But it´s a very good thing to do. i think I´m gone tell "my " scool about it.
